Relieved to take a win, especially after a very sloppy start. Started to get on-top in the clearances after 1/4 time, and perhaps could have won by more given it was a very wasteful third term.

Encouraged by the performance of Bass in ruck. Also liked the games of Haren and Cailotto. With Overall and Heaslip also doing a bit, we seem to have some over due depth with our taller players. Good to see Rolfe and Redigolo named in the reserves best.

Bays looked better when they used their pace and back themselves, but fell back into stop-start footy after the long break.

Crowd figure? 5-6K? Looked pretty decent on TV.

So much to look forward to again with AFL coaching in the SANFL

Don't know what game you were watching but that is exactly what did not happen. It was an excellent game of football. Were you there?

Judging by the timestamp of FE's post and the one following it, his comment was made in the first 5 minutes of the match. In this case he is quite right; the game began with all players on the ground on Glenelg's side of centre.

Just watched the recovery session on the SANFL Website and watch the Brent McLeod play on after the siren.

9;47 McLeod marks the ball just outside the square.
9.50 Umpire blows time off
9.52 umpire signals the end of the quarter and goes to ask the goal umpire did McLeod mark in the Goal square.
McLeod then decides to play on and instead of cancelling the goal, the field umpire should of set the mark and make McLeod retake his shot.

Just watching the replay. The ground surface looks s good on TV as it did live. Probably the best surface ever at Glenelg and up to the best I have seen ever at a suburban ground.

Helps when it's less than a week from Cricket season..... Woodville and Prospect would be similar.
