Well, Butcher hasn't played any role this year so it's hardly a new look without him.

Schulz and Monfries will be there.

I was more referring to forward options on their list, I'd love to Charlie make the move down here, he could get an Adelaide United membership seeing as though he loves the reds.

Dixon would be a valuable addition to any side I think.

At the end of the year the money from Butcher will free up, but as noted above, Wingard and Wines will get more in their next deals and I can't see either of them going anywhere right now.

I don't think we'll be a major player come trade time though, unless another club see's value in O'Shea, Clurey, Moore, Young and co.

O'Shea's stocks have dropped dramatically this season, I don't see any of the others bringing too much to the table.

This ^.

He's been given the lock down role this year, IMO it doesn't suit him. Wingard isn't afraid of tackling / applying pressure, nor is Schulz, so I don't think we need a specific lock down forward. If we are to, let Neade do that.

Gray now spends more time in the midfield so he's more of a resting forward, he doesn't need to do any defensive work while there.

Interestingly Monfries was dropped last week but didn't play for the Magpies. I think if you're going to give a bloke a kick in the arse then sink the boot in, don't mollycoddle.

On Schulz, I think he'll be at Port next year.

Pretty sure Gus had a groin niggle so was rested from the SANFL

Gus will be playing SANFL this week. And Jonas again, qualifying for SANFL finals.

Are you for real.
Massive talent, most clubs would take him in a heartbeat. Price does seem a little bit overs though

Port can't afford him IMO, they are already paying over 100% of the salary cap...even if Shultz goes. Will need extra cash in few couple of seasons for Wines, Boak, Windgard, Gray, Ebert, Hartlett. Plus i dont think Port will be keen on giving up another first round pick, would have to trade a decent player instead and can't see that happening.

Dixon will go to the highest bidder IMO.

Butcher is on far more than his worth, without him and Schulz there will be enough change in the ashtray.

Brisbane reportedly offering Dixon $700k and 3 Melbourne sides offering similar, seems a bit overs but if thats the going rate it may scare a couple of clubs off.

Would Port think about parting with a bloke like Hartlett? (Seems to be the name my Port mates mention most often in trade value discussions)

As mentioned you'd think Port already have some decent wages on their books and will need room for re-signing a few guns as early as next year. Thats not to say they won't have a crack at him.

Would be surprised if Collingwood didn't go real hard at him.

No, nobody can have Hartlett.

I forgot to add, Cornes and Butchers wage will be gone come the end of the year and Carlile becomes veteran list eligible.

Quite a bit of money free'd up there especially if Schulz moves.

$700k for Dixon doesn't sound excessive compared to Frawleys $800k, and Boyd $1m average.

Compared to Boyd $700k is cheap.

Suns are saying they wont match it so it appears he is off to highest bidder

Veterans list isnt much any more, only about $110k but yes with those savings you have mentioned you would have $800-900k ?

Bit surprised they're not trying harder to keep him, not surprised there's the interest in him you mentioned.

Would be a tight fit to get Dixon in let alone Motlop aswell. Would have to start letting players go, perhaps Port will help Ryder out and move on Lobbe
