No, length.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Marion Hotel isn't bad http://www.marionhotel.com.au/bar-bistro

If you are prepared to travel a little further south, the Flagstaff is probably a better option though - http://www.matthewshotels.com.au/flagstaffhotel/bistro

The tale of two Pizza venues in the last week

Dominoes. First time in a long time. Was not happy to see a rectangular 6 piece Pizza upon delivery. To be fair the Pizzas were not too bad for a mass produced product but certainly not life changing. $37 delivered with garlic bread and coke. Probably wasn't expecting too much - 6/10.

Cafe Pellegrini on O'Connell. Paid for by work with Caronas included so it had a leg up before it even started but the Pizzas were fantastic. Great sauce and quality toppings. The Hawaiin was good, the Meatlovers was delightful but the supreme stole the show. Packed full of quality fresh ingredients and a real taste sensation. Not overly cheap as each beer was $8 and the pizzas ranged from $23-$33 for the Families but if you don't mind paying for a nice venue it is worth it. It was my third visit there in the last 5 years and it has delivered on taste each time. 8.5/10

Has anyone been to a Korean BBQ place?

We've been invited to go out to one in Glen Osmond tomorrow night. It looks like you have to cook it yourself.

Been to one in Melbourne. It was cool. Yep, there is a hot plate on the table and you cook it yourself. Not much different to stone grill.

Anyone been to Louca's Seafood Grill?

Footy Chick wrote:Loucas seafood and Grill in Hutt St.

OH.MY.GOD =P~ Pretty much everything on the menu is SA caught.

There were 5 of us.

Entrée, I had seafood chowder, it was nice but I'd been spoiled by the fact that I've eaten the same in Bicheno, Tasmania and nothing will ever come close to it. My brother and cousin shared a dozen mixed oysters (Kilpatrick and the Loucas house sauce) and they couldn't' fault it - fresh as, they said.

For mains, My brother, my cousin and I, went thirds in the Australian chargrilled seafood platter. Chargrilled skewered Octopus, scallops, prawns, calamari and garfish, with chips and greek salad. The calamari was probably the best ive ever tasted.

Mum had the barramundi and Nanna had the king George grilled with crumbed prawns.

I had a glass of moscato, my cousin had a couple of pales and my brother had a beer and bought a bottle of Geoff Merrill rose for all of us.

total bill came to $365 which for all that seafood and alcohol is quite reasonable.

The service was magnificent - helpful and cheery without being annoying. The waitress who sat us down took the time to go through the specials with us.

It's a very small, intimate restaurant and can highly recommend it. The perfect place for a special occasion, without being too formal.

9/10

probably the only drawback is that they have 2 sittings, 5.30pm and 7pm

Go the late sitting because they'll kick you out for the 7pm bookings

I've never been to a stone grill place either.

Here's a couple of pics of the setup where we're going.

The concept is pretty simple they bring you a slab of meat uncooked with a smoking hot stone next to it. Rip the meat into bite size bits and chuck them on the stone. Take a swig of beer and grunt like cave man whilst meat cooks to your liking ;)

Guessing the Korean joint works on a similar concept.

So you go out for dinner but you cook it yourself?

The jewel of the Ingle Farm crown tonight - The Bridgeway Hotel

I had the 400g American T-bone and the Mrs had the 300g scotch both with a gravy boat. Both $29.90 but 2 for 1 on the ent book. I had mine medium and it was pretty good and cooked just right. Not the best cut I have had in my time but meat definitely worthy of my consumption. For some dumb pregnant reason Lady Wrist chose to have hers well done  perhaps in an attempt to remove the authentic flavours of the fillet but each to their own. I had a bite and it was noticeably more chewy.

The salad and veg bar was very good featuring potato bake, pumpkin, peas and some other veg mix and a good array of tasty fresh salads. I was grateful for this as the steaks took a long time due to the aforementioned order. The rolls were alright but are normally better.

We got the corner booth which is always good. As Frank Costanza would say "I didn't come all this way to sit at a TABLE!!!!"

8/10.
