Sorry DTH this must be a joke! and that is no disrespect to Ben.
I wasn't agreeing with it but I know Glenelg present a Zone Junior Coach Award each year and they generally like to share it around rather than give it to a previous winner. And I didn't listen to the criteria for the SAFC Award so it may be for more than how your team actually performs and could include relationship and communication with SAFC etc.
AFC9798 - Is the whole suburb of HV in the South Zone nowadays or just a part of the suburb that includes the oval location?
Blacks road is the boundary between South and West these days so HV and Aberfoyle Park are now all South's, with half of Flagstaff Hill also.
Well done to Shears on the win, to see the work he puts into his footy is amazing, On top of that he volunteers his Sundays to coach our u16's which the boys love.

If it was for the whole of South Adelaide zone then surely when you look through the GSFL and KIFL there would be better qualified coaches based on this years results. if it is only for the SFL then why can't a coach win it twice? Shearer has won the mail medal 2 years in a row. if it is for the best senior coach of the year there shouldn't be any restrictions on it. it doesn't always have to be the coach who is top, but i think most people at Morphett Vale would say this year they have gone backwards slightly.

The SFL generally don't publish it
Ahhh k. Bit odd. Thanks for the reply mate
Wouldn't want little Johnny finding out he did not receive any votes - we're all equal here...
On the flip side LGIL..... Strong rumour out of Last nite. What if ya dad was an umpire and your son won a medal, think we would all like to see whether that dad gave his son 3 votes every time he umpired him .
Lets be transparent SFL... post the votes.....

I think we are the only league in the State that does not publish them. Just like how they refuse to publish tribunal results.

I believe you are right on the money there "oneuponedown". Someone should call the Sherriffs.

Yes I like the cryptic clue there DTH...... very good
I bet a young lad from your side in that age group would be asking what more could he do as he didn't get votes when said person umpired his games!!
Surely Coach of the Year should be one of the Grand Final Coaches, or maybe this is really schoolboy footy, where everybody wins a prize. Maybe this is how they select the "Association Game" coach too.

Not saying not deserved but the cynic in me says South Adelaide are doing a bit of sucking up to BC... Now why would they want to do that?
