I'm unable to give clarity because I don't have the facts. My point was that of the coaching staff already had issues with the football directive/the committee it is probably a good thing for the club that they part ways. Especially if the relationship had worsened. In my opinion it would be selfish to stay on if the relationship were fractured for whatever reason don't you? I know the players are banding together and there is every chance they may not lose any due to some hard work by certain people.
Old_mate21 you seem to know a lot about the Fitzroy football club as an outsider and to claim to know details about relationships between coaches and key committee members. I heard another contributing factor was that certain committee members couldn't keep Information private. So if you do care about Fitzroy, I would try to not to damage the situation anymore.
would they have stayed on if Nelson wasn't moved on as president? Even though they claimed to have issues with the committee that he was already apart of? That doesn't make any sense?
Old_mate21 wrote:In regards to key relationships wasn't it general knowledge amongst the playing group that the The coach didn't want to work with the V/P?
People must remember that football clubs rely on their committees and volunteers to run year in and year out. If Fitzroy f.c committee has seen the need for a change, then you have to respect it. The long term care of the club is what is most important. From an outsider point of view, they seem to be a pretty well run club, good junior program and dedicated supporters and volunteers. I wish them well, changes like these are never going to be easy.
None as yet, I've been a bit pre-occupied lately though.
Isn't Thommo doing it again?
I believe Thommo is keen for a threepeat
Yeah I wouldn't go printing the T-shirts just yet there chief. Div 5 will be a completely different beast. I will be very surprised if you are able to replicate your minor round dominance as you have for the last 2 years. I expect you boys to be there when the whips are cracking but not on that last Saturday. Will be interesting to see the player movements in the off season.
The PNU Falcs 2005,06,13 x 2,14 and Div 1 Premiers in 2019......The SA 3peat - 2003,04,05

All additions is what I've heard so far, I too thought he was leaving initially and taking two with him.

At any rate its good for the club that he has stayed.
I was led to believe he was moving on and taking two players with him, I've since heard that there's some handy inclusions returning and I'd be pretty inclined to think "panthers" would be closer to the money on coaching appointments than what I'd know. I heard some snippets last week while I watched some mates play cricket, I was on the arse end of a bender and in mourning so football wasn't really being discussed too much.
