If a SAAFL club wants to really connect it's Senior and Junior connection it's completely up to the individual club. When we did have 16's and 18's many of the 16's trained with the senior squad to better them selves and 18's trained with the Seniors religiously every Tuesday and Thursday. We ended up winning 4 senior flags as a result in coming years. League culture has zero impact and just because you play on different days it doesn't mean you can't connect both concepts of your club.

When was the last time you went along and watched your juniors play.

2 teams will come up, and 1 team is going down. that makes 9 teams in div 5 currently next year. The vacancy is therefore in div 5 "at this point"
Clause 37

Subject to Clauses 37.4 and 37.5 herein the Member Clubs occupying the lowest two positions on the premiership table in the Divisions with a reserve Division (except the lowest Division of The League and the lowest Division of The League with a reserve Division) at the end of the minor round of matches in each Division, not being a reserve Division, shall be relegated to the Division below their current Division in the following season.

@marbles *cough, cough* the bottom two teams get relegated, nowhere does it say only 9th and 10th.. so in Division 4’s case, 8th and 9th get relegated unless otherwise determined.Clause 37

Bottom line.. the vacancy still exists in D4

10th place is para hills, 9th is kenilworth bye bye to both of those teams in 2017 from div 4, para hills have already left obviously and WONT be taking their place in div 5 next year, so their div 5 vacancy needs to be filled

LOL no.. 10th place is vacant - it's the bye.. sure it was occupied by Para Hills briefly pre-season, but not anymore.
8th and 9th to be relegated.. lock it in Eddie.

LaughingKookaburra wrote:Thats a pretty easy question to answer, it's simply impossible Dutchy.
-Considering a large majority of clubs host triple headers now of senior footy u14's would have to kick off at 5am. C grade starts at 10.15am, good 2 hours before hand to play games
-SFL complain about all juniors not playing with seniors now. How would it go when you play Old Boys teams who have no juniors for you to play every 3-4 weeks. not sure what point you are making here
-SAAFL, SANFL Juniors and College Football are 3 completely different governed leagues. How do you expect them to all come together and make a draw that all is aligned? school holidays would be the perfect time, sounds like clubs see it as too difficult
-How many Schools south of Sacred Heart play school footy, therefore use players who could also play for your local club on Saturdays? Plenty, many kids play club at 8.15am then butter up for school footy at 10.30am
That's only off the top of my head.
