Was talking to someone from Luthies and he said they had recruited well, so maybe they are the sleeping Giant!!
Spoke to an A Grade player of theirs today.

Very confident on being a much better side than last year. Added 10 A Graders with 2 "stars". Plus a bit more commitment from some FIFO types from last year. Only lost their ruckman.

Apparently absolutely pumped Mawson Lakes in a trial.

Will be winding them in big time at the next market.

Don't think this happened

Probably because they didn't actually play each other

Don't know, but I'm pretty sure that Lakes trials were against Flinders Uni and Greenacres.

Lutheran played Mawson Lakes last Thursday evening. I don't know the final score but it didn't appear to be a demolition. I did, however, miss a quarter or 2 (out of 6)

You need a hobby

My hobby is knocking off cold froffies, maybe I need a new venue to indulge my hobby where there is no football played.

Ahh ok. Hard to tell I guess. he did say that they fielded a strong team early which might have been against the weaker Mawsons team perhaps.

Point being they've more than likely improved and they weren't that bad last year to begin with so will be more than competitive in D7.

Top 3 or 4 for mine.

Update on morell's market!

Para Hills - $1.15 Holding steady, rumours about poor trial game results vs teams 30 spots above them proven to be utter folly
Adelaide Lutheran - $5.00 Improvers. Good results in a trial and some positive recruiting. Dark horses and this bookie is wary.
PAOC - $8.00 Dropped down a tad as potentially fielding a different string side to last year.
Central United - $8.00 Hearing nothing but positive things and training has been solid. Wound in.
St Pauls OS $10.00 Smashed by Houghton, wound out a bit, could be value here still.

Adelaide Uni - $17.00 Lost some value as money shifted to other options. Still around the mark as they have 4903 players
TTG - $20.00 Wound in big time. Enough quality in here to be very competitive. Would've won the flag if it weren't for a very strong MPFC in '12
Flinders Uni - $25.00 Not sure with the crabs and the market reflects this, hovering just outside the 5
Mitchell Park - $30.00 Lost depth and players and are struggling. Old hands looking to prop the place up again.
North Pines - $80.00 Not hearing much from out there, not much in the clearances and really struggled last year.

My mail suggests that North Pines are doing well, held their own against Eastern Park on the weekend, numbers have been reasonable on the track too.

Lets be honest is a coach in his review going to say we were shit, we lacked discipline, our defence leaked like a sieve and our forwards were lazy?
