Yep, 100% correct. Leslie was a tough but fair no-nonsense player. That image of him at 'lemon' time in the 1988 Australian Championships carnival at Footy Park with blood on his face having stitched up Dermie summed him up for mine. Also recall reading in Footy Budget back in the day he had some problem with his feet so he had to have specially made or altered boots.

As for Dwayne Russell, he is rubbish on as a match-day commentator, tries to over hype every passage of play. Pity, I reckon he's got some interesting things to say when he's not shouting about how 'crazy good' a 30 metre set shot goal from straight in front is.

Rory Laird's eyes go alright too. Correct about the footy show. I had a whinge about it last week. It was embarrassing to watch. I'll never watch it again (maybe the GF Footy Show but that's it)

I tape it and start watching around 10pm, flick through the crap and watch anything interesting, usually done by 10.30pm.

I don't know why they went back to Hutchy, they are already missing JB despite a lot not liking him either. They had a chance to give it a new look and feel by putting someone fresh in the chair, but didn't. Coming on 3 weeks before the season is a mistake also, means they are putting all sort of shit on to fill time.

Be interesting if Rebecca Madden hangs around, not sure it is doing her career any favours.
