Don't shoot this messenger because it could be completely false but I have heard whispers that Joey Hay may be hanging up the boots at the end of the season? He's great to watch and one of the genuine nice guys of the league. I hope it's not true...

Pine Warmer wrote:Yeah fair call, but i wouldnt think too many blokes would leave a go to another div 1 club. Alot of the current A grade team have been there a while now so couldnt see them losing too many. Also a higher chance of a premiership could lure alot of ex players back to the club.
Ive also heard this about Joe but knowing the bloke he is im pretty sure he would hate to hang up the boots after a relegation season.

thats quote amusing. If Brighton will get smashed by SN. They have several times in trial matches over the years as well. If that's the best div 2 have. Look outTrader wrote:sinister23 wrote:If SN don't manage to survive relegation, I feel sorry for some of the clubs in Div 2 who would've fancied themselves as contenders for the flag next year. Will be two unlucky years in a row for that competition..
Nah, SN coming down won't change anything. Brighton are winning the 2018 Div 2 flag.

i think you will find it may go the other way. Lot of blokes that left have already said let's win a flag together. All the mates and there's a couple of blokes that said they will sign already.Footy Chick wrote:If the worst did happen and SN were relegated, how hard would it be to keep everyone around?

every single player will stay and more will sign too play in a flag with their mates.Trader wrote:How many of those current SN players will stick around to play Div 2 footy?
On the other hand, Brighton will continue to recruit as they climb the grades.
I asked Morell, he recons they are $1.08 to win it.

correct. Brighton got smashed every time against SN. And that's when Brighton were better than they are now.Pine Warmer wrote:Trader wrote:sinister23 wrote:If SN don't manage to survive relegation, I feel sorry for some of the clubs in Div 2 who would've fancied themselves as contenders for the flag next year. Haha, without injury salisbury north are a top 5 div 1 team! The difference between div 1 and 2 is massive let alone div 3 standard. Im also pretty sure the hawks have played brighton in a couple of trials over the last 3 or 4 years and brighton hasnt got within 15 goals.

A TTG player punched a SN player and James told the umpire
"If that was f***en us you would red carded us"
And the umpire took that as calling a cheat and red carded him.

the gulf between div 1 and five 2 is huge. At least they will get the chance too play in a premiership togetherCCC Romans wrote:If SN have the stock at bay to win a flag, why haven't they done it already? What's the point of dropping down to D2, to then reassemble a squad to win a flag at a lower level, and then go back up?

I'm hearing similar things.
I understand this isn't James's first indiscretion this season.
Joker, did something happen earlier this year with James?

If James is up to no good, it's up to SN to take the recommended action to avoid them losing anymore points this season.
If they choose not to do this, then if the worst happens, I'm sure the league will step in.
