Also in fairness I see a lot more promotion of the SANFL at Power games than I do at Crows games at Adelaide Oval.

Good to see Ports "one club" 60,000 members got behind their team.
No AFL game over the weekend too.
Good to see them support their ressies side by the masses.

Pathetic!

I don't blame them. Who's really interested in reserves matches? I think I went to an SANFL Reserves GF featuring the Eagles reserves side once (i.e. before a League GF the Eagles weren't playing in), but apart from that have never shown any interest in actually attending a reserves match.

There is no sport, no league anywhere in the world where more than a handful of people are interested in watching the reserves.

Not because we won but it was a very good umpiring performance
yesterday a couple of errors against both sides but they didnt influence
the result at all unlike the thoughts of Norwood supporters around me
who blamed the umps entirely for their loss

Umps definitely didn't cost us but that 25m penalty and resultant goal definitely appeared to take a bit of momentum away from us.

Live I thought the 25 was "lucky", but then saw the angle that the norwood player on the ground never let go of the Guernsey, to prevent Hoskin from playing on, so understand why it was paid.

So with this rule of maximum of 16 players for the AFL teams in finals, do they still have to play AFL listed players before any top ups?

If they do i really like whoever wins between Sturt and Central to go on and win the flag. The minute the Power loses Trengove, Impey and Broadbent are out of the SANFL team. On form they will accoiunt for the Eagles this week unless of course the Power win on Saturday night then it suits them better to lose so that their reserves are playing again on the same weekend as the seniors.

Ideal result would be for the Firsts to lose Saturday night then they will fold much like their bastard cousin last year in the Preliminary Final......

Nah, the board and coach are too tightly knit. String him along for another season, no point crochet-fying him after one year.

Nah Cotton's fine, he's got a bold personality for a coach.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Norwood would be Hayden the Haitana-round of coaches if Cotton was sacked.

Have to learn to play to the whistle. Until the umpire calls play on, you can't tackle like that!

Easily the best list in the comp, so, yes, they should have done much better. They were definitely the disappointing side of the season. Not sure about sacking Cotton but they sure need to do something about the 'chipping backwards until we turn over the ball' style of football they play. That is the same style of play we used for the first half of the season until we learned we were not good enough to execute it successfully and changed to a more positive, attacking style of football.

Cheers
