My cat has a litter box in the laundry - she never uses it, she goes in the escape proof back yard, it's very good fertiliser.

On the contrary they are quite cunning and know well how to train humans to fill their needs and clean up after them. Back when I wasn't travelling as much and had pets my Siamese cat also had my Irish Wolfhound well trained. He was quite fond of her and would chase off any other cats that intruded on her territory.

But the local King Parrots had them both sussed, and knew how to summon we humans to fill their bird feeder too...
