Mopping is easy...i make our labrador wait for its bedtime feed....it starts frothing out of its mouth onto floor....i feed her and then mop the floor using that saliva with my socks...

Rounded up family and friends and brought them to my place on Sunday for a beer before the concert we were about to attend. With 5 of us in the group it was decided we try and get a 5 seater cab rather than 2 Ubers, so I ring the Taxi company. I ask the pretty chilled out bloke if it's still difficult to get a 5-Seater these days and he says not at all, will have one there within 15 minutes.
Ring back 30 minutes later when no cab has shown up, only for him to tell me we're still trying to find one. Told him we have a time deadline for an event but he didn't seem to care so told him to shove his cab, and explained that this is always why we use Uber. Taxi industry cries foul all the time, but the wankers don't do themselves any favours!

Uber shits all over the taxi industry. Only used it a couple of times, but I won’t use a taxi company ever again

Caught a cab home last week from the same spot I got an Uber two weeks earlier.

Uber - $23 Cab - $33.80 ( rounded up to $35 )
I had the opposite as it is supply and demand. Uber to cricket at 1pm was $18. Uber on way home at 11pm was going to be $37. Caught a cab instead on way home and it was $27.

Ubers pick up from the airport.
I have been mis-quoted a few times and the tariff must go up at midnight as I often organise them for my daughter to get home from parties.
Works out well as the midnight curfew has become 11:30 to save a few dollars.

80% of the time Uber is cheaper but in peak periods it’s more expensive. Caught one on a Saturday night home from work x-mas show and it cost a lot more than a taxi.
But I agree Uber is way better
