Well that was a doddle. The only salient difference between that and a visit to the dentist is that I could actually hold a conversation during the procedure. The only disappointment is that he didn't say "now you might feel a small prick" when he went to inject the anaesthetic.

Now let's see if I feel so chipper when the anaesthetic wears off. Ice cubes on standby.

I think most of us call it a 'doodle'. But why the past tense? Hope it's still there.
