We were lucky to get away with the 2 points in the end IMO.

On another note, my lad played in the mini league today. Unfortunately for us he played for the Legs. But the Norwood guys looked after our lads really well.

Bit mean keeping them in a cage though ;)

Just noticed on the highlights package that the main scoreboard was used for the AFL game.

I find this most unusual that the game being played is not on the scoreboard. We used to and they still could put other games scores on the side surely.

Thats the way it had been previously, not sure why they felt the need to change it.

The portable one was showing highlights of the clubs history and sponsor ads but it does look stupid having it right next to the old scoreboard. I walked in and saw 4.1 to 4.3 on the d scoreboard and thought I must have got there late :)

Any chance of the SANFL updating the website. Maybe with the stats and scores from 2018

I think every SANFL team would have beaten the Cows today. Port not that good.

Lindsay still good at diving. FFS when will umpires wake up? Disgraceful.

Don't know what game you were watching but i didn't see Thomas dive once. All his head high frees were from getting to the ball first and staying low and putting it on the player to tackle low. Only instance were he wasn't low and first to the ball is in the southern pocket when he tapped the ball and got tackled high.
I'm happy to be proven wrong though.....

Hopefully not in the one incident! Like getting tackled by Doctor Octopus.

Agreed, definitely wasn't diving, stayed low like you said. Probably play on by the AFL new interpretation, not sure about SANFL interpretation.

Diving, flinging the head back etc. Its pathetic. Thought the sanfl was better than paying frees for that crap. Put the whistle away FFS

So you cant prove he was diving now his flinging his head back. If your getting wrapped around the neck by someones arm of course your head is going to get flung back....
I'm not even a Thomas fan but still think you are talking absolute dribble.

All I was getting at is that he plays for frees', perhaps the term ''diving '' was meant to cover this in general.

So he doesnt play for frees is that what you are saying?

Never said he hasn't in past, i never argued that. Only argued that you said he was diving on Saturday against the Crows, when if you watch the game every free kick he got was warranted.

He made amateur footballers panic and make amateur tackles.

I tend to think of it as 'exaggerating for frees'

Call it what you like. The stats speak for themselves. Just hope the umps look at it and shut it down.
