The TAC Cup is set to be extended next year with 6 new teams joining.
Brisbane Lions, GC Suns, Swans, GWS, Tassie Mariners and NT will all field sides in the comp next year

Just a pity that the 'Dogs have chosen this year for their third finals miss in 26 years.

Happy that fellow no-voters South are among the finals mix, though. I hope they do well.

At this stage the SANFL have avoided it but how long before a national u18’s comp is in place?
The TAC Cup is set to be extended next year with 6 new teams joining.
Brisbane Lions, GC Suns, Swans, GWS, Tassie Mariners and NT will all field sides in the comp next year

That would take it to 18 teams, surely 2 divisions.
If that was to happen, SA would have to field 2 teams otherwise they would be too strong with just one. That would have far greater impact on the SANFL clubs than 40 AFL listed kids and hacks playing against them each week
