Unfortunately in today's day and age they just can't, as long as she has doctor certificates and calls in there is nothing they can do.

Personally, I would've employed a PI a long time ago, probably after the 3rd or 4th day this time.

In private medical practice, I bailed out of employing regular staff in favour of casuals in the late 1970s, and out of employing anyone at all in the late 1980s when sick leave for casual employees was being mooted. Taking a serviced office at a private hospital became a winner then.

Yep, she and another woman do the same role as a team, the other woman has had to come in early and stay back to do both, they've had to get another woman to come in early who only works part -time generally.

Her colleague had booked leave ages ago so they've had to take my understudy and put her in their area to help out, not to mention the shit that they have found that was stashed and unattended to in her apparent to-do tray and other places.

No other department is willing to help out now either as they're all sick of it.

The company can't do f*** all about it by law.
