Angus Graham, the ultimate list clogger 2 years with the Crows never played a game.

Rehn will be, rightly, remembered as a better player, unfortunately we didn't get to see the best of them both with knee injuries doing them no favors.
Primus played two games in '99 because of a knee, '03 he played 9 games because of a knee and we all know what happened in '04.
The rules were changed to stop his style of ruck work, he was just too big for some opponents to handle.
who was the better coach?

Couldn’t agree more. At least he launches up at the footy and show last some fight.

Sloane to be single captain next year, the Crows lack genuine leaders. Big issue here for mine.
When the going gets tough they go missing time and time again.
Can’t include Jenkins as he’s a genuine spud.
Love how upset you get over the Crows... they own your headspace lol

Picked the crows for the flag early doors and picked em tonight too. Can't believe how inept they are going forward. Lucky to make the 8. They have been worked out big time. What's your thoughts on tex? Hard to drop the captain but if he's going to spud it up week in week out he needs to go for a rest. Make em earn it.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

North Melbourne, Gold Coast, St Kilda and Freo coming up, will probably be 5-2 after that.

Re: Adelaide Crows 2019
Lots of talk about Adelaide's scoring drying up since about mid-2017, thought I'd look closer.
Through 2016 season average scoring was 16.14 (110)
In 2016 Adelaide played 25 games and only 7 times scored under 100 points
Jenkins 2.5 ( average goals per game)
Walker 2.0
Betts 3.3
Lynch 1.8
Through 2017 season average scoring was 16.13 (109)
In 2017 Adelaide played 26 games and 10 times scored under 100 points ( 8 of those after round 11 where it appears scoring dropped off )
Jenkins 2.1
Walker 2.3
Betts 2.2
Lynch 1.3
Through 2018 season average scoring was 13.12 (90)
In 2018 Adelaide played 23 games and 16 times scored under 100 points ( only twice after round 8 did they break 100 points and one of those the last 165 point game against Carlton )
Jenkins 2.0
Walker 1.8
Betts 1.6
Lynch 0.9
Through 2019 3 games average scoring is 10.15 (75)
Jenkins 3 in 3 games
Walker 3 in 3 games
Betts 3 in 3 games
Lynch 3 in 3 games
All averaging 1 per game
Scoring really has dried up, in 2016 and 2017 the 4 forwards were contributing 8 goals per game ( average ) in 2018 it's down to 5 goals and now in 2019's small sample size it's 4 goals.
For some time we've all ( or many of us ) have thought Adelaide have been able to cover the seemingly endless run of player losses, it now appears to have caught up.
Is it system or personnel?
If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result then I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but.....

Re: Adelaide Crows 2019
It might be both, but the personnel is in desperate need of some rejuvenation. Not that I’m suggesting they would do this, but outside of M Crouch, Laird, Doedee and Talia, what decent trade value do they have? Recruiting a 30yr old bloke looked foolish at the time, but looks shocking now as his career commences the wind-down. Couple that with it costing them McGovern, the type of forward they’re desperately missing. Clubs have shown you can turn a list around quickly if you get nearly all of your decisions right.

I watched the Port v Adelaide SANFL trial a few weeks ago with valleys and noted how Adelaide are bereft of key position players outside of Hartigan and Fogarty who were in that side.
A look at this weeks SANFL line up shows that.
Strachan was a rookie draft pick, Himmelberg is in his 3rd year on the list, Sholl is a top up, Otten is at the back end of his career, Fogarty playing half back flank, Hunter hasn't appeared to progress to push for selection.
League
F: Stengle, Strachan, Wright
HF: McHenry, Himmelberg, Gallucci
C: Davis, Greenwood, Wilson
HB: Butts, Sholl, Fogarty
B: Hamill, Otten, McPherson
R: Hunter, Ellis-Yolmen, Poholke
INT: Boyle, Hutchesson, Johnson, Latchford, McMahon

What's Rehn's coaching record like?
In Primus' defence, he inherited a crap list and he would've been better off starting the trade somewhere else, he wasn't out of the game long enough and was stuck coaching mates, a good coach needs to be ruthless.

Betts Walker Jenkins first instinct is to try and get the cheapie out the back
Keath Talia Hartigan Kelly chipping to each other across the half back line is not going to end well

Re: Adelaide Crows 2019
Betts can't kick 40m anymore
Three or four times last night he hit the pack beautifully and crumbed only to have to go sideways or chip it 15m. Instead of launching an inside out left foot barrel or something else ridiculous
Reckon father time has just caught up with him

Certainly not as agile or explosive as he was 18 months ago.
One play, in the scoreboard pocket, he was one on one with Stewart ( a very good player ) and the ball is Betts' control, on the ground, but under Betts' control, in the past he may have turned Stewart inside out, slipped him, something, Stewart just took the ball away.
