Well congratulations.
I don't think people were doubting the talent at CLG.
I think they were questioning how that talent arrived and their attitude towards telling anyone who'd listen how good they were...

Nobody said CLG was a bad side they are a very good side, what we're saying is the reason they are a good side is cos of all the $$$ that is being thrown around.
Anyone could dominate Div 7 if they paid blokes what they do

Re: Div 7 in 07
Will be interesting to see what Div 7 looks like next year - any chance of it going back to a 10 team comp. Having only 8 this season was pretty #$@%.
Some things I'd like to know:
Will Kaurna still be around?
Will they look at getting more C/D teams to take it up to a 10 team comp? Athelstone, TTG, SMOSH, Edwardstown, Modbury, Uni, SHOC, Mitcham all have 4 or more sides - surely a few of these could come up to make it a bigger division.
If SAAFL won't do that, will they keep Henley (& Uni for that matter) up in Div 7 or push them down to the C division?

Not to sure about Kaurna, word is every one is leaving and had enough but they said the same this season. Maybe a drop to a C grade would be better for them

Yes it will be very interesting to see what Mr Shadiac and his merry men decide.
8 teams this year was shite.
Kaurna i've heard they will not be folding no matter what but seriously who would know SAAFL will give them however long they want to decide
Maybe they could extend higher grades with more teams and scrap Div 7 and only have 6 Divs plus the C & D grade comps.

You're playing most sides 3 times a year.

Doesn't make for an even comp, for example one team may have to play the top 4 sides 3 times while another will only play them twice.
Pity about Kaurna - when we played them earlier in the year I chatted to some of their older blokes and they were really good - out there for the right reasons. After what happened in the last game though - many of them just there for a fight (causing the game to be abandoned), it is obvious that they need some real leadership to keep their young hotheads under control. One thing for sure - a merger with someone like Wingfield or Paralowie would make a very strong club!
