Now we get T 100

The England and Wales Cricket Board will introduce a new format of the game where each team faces 100 balls as part of a revamped domestic competition in 2020.

The proposed format for a new eight-team tournament would see each team face 15 six-ball overs as well as another 10 deliveries to make up a total of 100 balls. It is not clear at what point in an innings the extra 10 deliveries will be bowled, or whether they will be bowled by one bowler or more.

Why they simply wouldn't go to 20x5 ball overs is beyond me.

That’s stupid

15 balls is a hell of a lot to bowl in a row too

Maybe the extra 10 balls could be that each fielder other than the keeper bowl 1 ball each?
Either way it sounds silly, just bowl another 5 overs and call it a T20.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

How have they justified the need for this?

T20 is a 120 ball format, what justification is there to drop 20 balls off of an innings in an already fast paced version of the game?

just doesn't make sense to come up with another concept to save, what 8 or 9 mins of play per innings? Morons

The H standing for horseshit. The same halfwits that think 20/20 is great will swallow this crap up.

T20 at least makes a modicum is sense - over in 3 hours, and still allows for a contest.

What will that new format give that t20 doesn’t have?
