And they may now be able to get some assistance and perhaps the economy isn't in the dire position the forecast put it in. If it was $60bn the other way it'd ( the outrage ) be understandable and I get that an error that big should never occur but glass half full people!

I'm guessing the outraged would have preferred it paid to people in the same situation and not rely on things outside people's control who did the exact same jobs in exactly the same industry.
Now those employees on job keepers get to go back to work earlier than others who are getting nothing because their employers are getting free labour and have less overheads.
The whole process was an absolute shambles implemented by an incompetent government and they deserve all the criticism they get plus more.

I bet those not outraged didn't lose their livelihood.

Wine industry has a lot more hurt to come, growers are paid for their fruit in 3 payments throughout the year, there is no way they will be getting their 2nd and 3rd payment from wineries who are selling stuff all wine. Im not talking the big wineries here.
Im sure there will be lots of industries affected when everyone thinks its all back to normal.

Big wineries are currently contemplating buying a lot more grapes because demand is through the roof. The only reason they're contemplating it and haven't pulled the trigger is because they're not sure if its a temporary or permanent increase in demand and if its fully due to covid.

If the restrictions had been in place for 6 months then we would all be in a worse position and all of the $120bn would have been spent clearly. The government now have a few more bullets to assist businesses and get the economy moving quickly.

If you deal with small wineries there are obviously more risks than dealing with the big ones, thats business.

At work, they've installed these white things on the door handle of the toilet so people who don't wish to use their hand to open the door can use their forearm.

Wow what a wonderful invention

However.. there are two doors into the toilet - and only the white thing on one, so you still got to use your hand to open the second door.
