I know its an advert but I find it difficult that tax payers are paying footballers to play at SANFL level , surely the footy is not the major income of majority of players ?

Most players I know under 23 are at Uni with a Part Time job, so footy would easily be their No. 1 income. Remembering they get job with the DofEtaxed on their payments so how can people say they shouldn't be getting payments as employees like any other business?

I think the ATO ruling was that any contracted player was eligible for JobKeeper as PPT. Those with 2 casual jobs were able to declare which casual job was their primary job, and it wasn't income based. In my case, I have a casual teaching role with DofE, who as a government entity, don't meet the employer criteria, so, it was a no brainer for me.

Any government assistance that supports the most significant cultural institution within South Australia is all right by me.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

To his credit the Bays didn't lose one game while he was in charge.
Crowds were pretty poor though.

Without knowing the circumstances, I suspect the sports administration sector is going to see a lot of personnel change over the next 6 months. Particularly at CEO level. The pandemic will sort out the career administrators that code hop in search of coin and those with a genuine affinity and connection for the game and their clubs. The gravy train is about to leave the station....

Purely a guess.. but my R1 prediction - Sat. Eags v Dogs & Bays v Blues. Sun. Bloods v Panthers & Legs v Roosters
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

The SANFL should schedule carefully. When crowds are back they should get the crowd pulling clubs involved.
With no crowds and being on TV , leave the clubs that attract crowds to when the crowds are allowed. Difficult I know.

He doesn't post much but when he does it demonstrates his user name is not coincidental....

I don't know the ins and outs of the events of last week but as a general comment with respect to the sports industry, I think Knowledge isn't far from the mark here.

With 2 000 spectators being allowed into the Showdown, is it likely we will be allowed supporters at the SANFL in Round 1?
Cheers
