Checking in is quick and easy:
1. Download or log in to the free mySA GOV app
2. Scan the above QR code with your phone’s camera
3. Enter your name and phone number
4. Follow the prompts
5. Done – you’re checked in!

Dumb question for non techno savy person.

Why do you need to download the MySA Gov app if your just using your phones camera to scan the QR code.

We still don't have ours, but I got someone else to forward there's on so I can sus it out, in the email it says as follows:

• Your QR Code is included in your Plan. Using it is mandatory. You will receive an email when the my SA gov app can be downloaded from the Apple and Google app stores. In the meantime, the QR code can be used with a smartphone camera.

Looks like we never need the stupid mygovSA app and it was all a scam from the government to try and get us all on the app!!!

Just the old version apparently.
Now that I know I can do it from my camera I don't see the need for the app so probably won't ever get it.

I’ve had it for a while only because I like the e-licence.

If we get our QR code sent to us tonight then I'll give it a try at 12.01 with and without the app and let you know how it goes. Knowing the government we probably won't get our email till tomorrow though. :?

The QR code will just be a link with a unique code for each business. It won't know who you are though so the app will pre-populate all that information in the web form for you. If you scan the code outside the app it will just take you to a form where you'll need to fill out your details, likely every time you use it.

The millions spent on the covid app was worth the investment then, should have just done this in the first place.

What I don't get, it was mentioned several times that his "Day 12" test came back positive, don't you only do a "day 12" test if you've been instructed to quarantine?

Casual contacts I understand as get tested, isolate until you get a result then monitor for symptoms, no "day 12" testing?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Many many things don't add up at the moment with this. SA health seemed to be travelling alright but they were always going to pull an SA Health at some stage and stuff this all up.

Perhaps. So do we assume he's been tested, told to isolate, come back negative but why then are we told on the Sunday "post pause" was he on the loose thinking he was free like everyone else? Why mention "day 12"?

I didnt feel like checking into this establishment so didnt go any further

There also appears to be an option to enter a short url (on the sign where the qr code is) and just type in your details

So yesterday's briefing was on during the national meeting so Spurrier wasn't available.
Today's briefing is on at 10am when Tickets for the Adelaide Test Match go on sale so no one will be watching.
