No they are not exempt.

Just visited a woolies to grab some lunch and most people were walking straight past the codes and just going about their shopping.

I suspect soon they will have a greeter standing there pointing people in the right direction.

I noticed the Woolworths I went to had their own Woolworths code but not the official my SA gov one. Tried to scan using the app and it said it only scans official codes. Foodland the same thing no code at all.

Big fail so far

My club still hasn't been provided with our codes, perhaps these businesses are also waiting still.

I'm happy to give them a bit of time on the roll out, its fair to say they would have been blindsided a bit by the parafield cluster and that has drawn their attention away from this to a degree.

I'm also far more happy to cut them some slack given they didn't use the delay to the roll out as an excuse to keep the restrictions in place longer.

I think Woolies, and some other places, had set up their own systems, but thats different to the SA Govt one.

This might be further adding to the confusion as people have gotten used to ignoring the Woolies one and now just ignore them all! haha

Not sure what Mr Capt asked today, I missed todays given the deliberate timing of the press conference to avoid as many eyes as possible!

It's like i-Phone users are stuck in some sort of world where they have very few options but to do as they're told. 8)

Where are the QR codes compulsory?
Any business or venue which is required to have a completed COVID-Safe Plan must display posters displaying a unique QR code provided by the SA Government.

Each business must use its "best endeavours" to ensure visitors check in.

People who refuse to comply with a request to check in may be denied entry.

The businesses captured by the new direction to provide QR codes are those which undertake the following "defined public activities":

Onsite purchase and consumption of food or drinks
Sport, fitness or recreation activities
Indoor public meetings
Ceremonies, including wedding and funerals
Personal care services
Public entertainment
Recreational transport
Nightclubs
Relevant licensed premises
Casinos and gaming rooms
Real estate auctions and inspections
Driving lessons
Health care, residential care, disability support or aged care

This MYSAGOV App is F***ed .. Scan the code, input personal details, receive SMS with verification code. By the time you check the SMS and return to the App it takes you back to the beginning of the process, meaning you have to get a new verification code again #-o

I found it pretty quick - I just tap on the names and it autofills and then the verification code pops up top of my phone and get message "xxxxxx from messages?"

I must admit though, I thought it would just scan and auto check in and that be that.. the verification and filling out name/number is dumb.
