Half time Sturt by 5 goals
Half time Sturt by 5 goals
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Sturt win by 41 pts
Not 100% sure those Port players today have read Fos’ Creed.
Interesting next Sunday v North

I know it’s not the same but those players pulling on that famous guernsey should be embarrassed by their efforts.

Good win to Sturt but that must have been the weakest team on paper PA have put out there this year.

The strength of the team doesn’t determine effort though.
Their 2nd half against the Eagles last week was embarrassing as well, just gave up and lacked effort at the contest.
Lacked effort and interest.

First thing I said Friday when doing my tips. After almost beating us they’ve since lost to North & put in shit shows against Centrals & the crowserves at Unley. I wouldn’t have backed them with borrowed money.

Fair enough. I did like the intensity of Sturt. After 1/2 time I thought PA were about to overtake the blues but Sturt came back hard. The ex Sturt player had a quiet one for his new team.

Who? This guy?
"Ultimately we want to support the young footballer in his development and Port plays Sturt twice in the back end of the season.
“There is every chance Jed could play AFL in the next few weeks and we want to give him the best opportunity to do that.
“While we don’t support players being uprooted out of their SANFL club mid-year, it is disruptive to our teams and their members and supporters, ultimately we need to support Jed in his ambitions with the rules as they currently stand, rather than hold him back.’’

Easily. Probably had 10 SANFL standard players out there.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Interesting post Booney it is Ports seconds team . So you should expect to play guys around and some below SANFL standard
I thought it was strange Hartlet got taken into the AFL side after his performance last week against the Eagles .
Well done to Sturt you can only beat the team on the park against you .

Re: Sturt v Port
we all know AFL reserves teams are a bit of a mismatch. A few who can in theory tear it up, a few who are very solid (though often inexperienced) and, depending on injuries, a few who maybe struggle a bit. It looked like a good match up yesterday, one team maybe wanted it a bit more. No way Sturt is a bottom team, and Port currently a bit light on. Historically Port do ok under this model. Lost the GF in 2014 by a few points, the 2017 by 1 point, and butchered chances in 2019 GF.
