Re: COVID-19
Old Iggies probably would to have hosted the Sheffield Shield matches last year.
It would surprise me if SACA would be supportive of using Karen Rolton Oval in September!

Redbacks season starts very early this year so no way Karen Rolton being used for footy, will be working on the pitches there very soon.

Need seven suitable grounds with lights, that could be tough. Some of the lights at SANFL grounds are still very poor.
Rule out Woodville and Alberton from this list.

Woodville and Alberton no good due to SANFL/AFL I assume. I think St Marys had a light upgrade, not sure how good Kilburn is. The rest would have to be reasonable enough.

Salisbury has adequate lighting and fencing but I don't think they have a COVID-Safe Plan.

Prospect Oval lights are poop too.
I haven't been to a night game at Salisbury for a while.

How long does it take to put one of them together?

Unsure. I wonder if the financial risks of it being violated by patrons/spectators is worth it for a suburban club? I'm not involved anymore so I don't know, but it would be a concern I reckon.

Are the lights any good though mate? Plenty of clubs host them but a lot aren't up to it.

AFL GF will more than likely be in Perth at night, so I dont see a problem even if they are on same day

What ovals do have good lights and is gated?

Thebarton, Norwood, Richmond, Glenelg, Elizabeth, Noarlunga all have lights that would be ok.
Other SANFL grounds no good are Prospect, Unley, Alberton, Woodville.

Re: COVID-19
The Ponderosa at Elizabeth not great but would pass SAAFL standards.
I wonder if a club can provide temporary fencing the league would be able to do it along with a Covid Safe Plan.
Im sure a few clubs gains over a bar or canteen on a prelim final day would pay for some fencing hire..
