Well I had all the common symptoms - dreadful sore throat etc. - and total fatigue, muscle soreness all over, the simplest tasks were a struggle. E.g. even picking up small objects like a book was an effort.

Basically like the actual flu (rather than merely a cold), it hit me like a truck, despite being fairly fit and healthy.

Had a bit of shortness of breath at the peak but that went away by lying down.

Obviously nothing compared to the folks that go to hospital, but definitely more severe than I would have expected.

Hey Booney, did you try the English IPA when you were in Goolwa?

If so what did you think?

Mismatch Session ale, my fav beer now and I rate that the Royal has it on tap and sells cartons of it.
Going down a bloody treat iced cold atm after walking for an hour in that hear/humidity today to drop off and pick up the missus car for a service.
I rate the air con in her car too! Puts my old car to shame!
I also rate my countery coming out now too! :D

I'm not much of an Ale drinker, their lager is pretty good too. Went to Lot 100 the Monday after Xmas, brilliant food, wine, beer & gin if you're into that

Went to Lot 100 prior to Xmas.
Pretty impressive setup they have there.
Their whiskey is very good too.
They wouldn’t serve it neat on ice so they served it with ginger beer.
Never had it with ginger beer but it was bloody good.

Why in the name of all that is holy would they not serve it straight?

Mixing is what you do to make inferior products palatable. If it's worth drinking then it's worth taking as-is, with at most a few ice cubes or a dash of water.
