Re: AFL Round 9
Collingwood were better defensively in the second quater and have stopped the Bulldogs from scoring but can't score themselves.
The sooner the AFL brings in the last touch rule to remove the grey area of the deliberate/insufficient intent rule the better IMO.

Re: AFL Round 9
It's happened again tonight where sometimes players react slightly when they give a free kick away and aren't penalised then other times they're called immediately, like Buku Khamis was.Armchair expert wrote:"Dissent" rule is embarrassing
I like the dissent rule to eradicate verbal umpire abuse, the rule just needs to be adjudicated consistently when players react to when they give away a free kick.

That was a putrid game by us.
Smith killed us.
But the digs all round looked very good.
Friggin hate it when treloar plays well against us.

Collingwood were beaten easily in the middle of the ground and the forwards that had little impact and struggled to score.tigerpie wrote:That was a putrid game by us.

Mihocek- 1.2, 9 disposals, 6 marks, 4 score involvements.
Hoskin-Elliott- 1.0, 13 disposals, 7 marks, 2 score involvements.
Henry- 0.3, 10 disposals, 6 marks, 4 score involvements.
De Goey was good last night but he played majority midfield time- 1.0, 20 disposals at 95% efficiency, 7 marks, 7 clearances.

The Khamis one wasn't dissent, it was an appeal for a free kick, so anyone appealing for a deliberate out-of-bounds or holding-the-ball has to be penalised as well.

Re: AFL Round 9
The worse thing about the De Goey one was, as a neutral, it sucked the life and interest out of the game.
Football, looking at the sport holistically, suffered for such a finicky decision.

Apart from a bullet kick to hoskin-elliott, McCreery didn't see much if it either.
Henry's kicking for goal was atrocious!
We just didn't look up for the fight.
Maybe the bugs had a bigger effect than the clubs saying?

Lol North. Getting a massive rise down in Tassie. Maybe that's the hometown thing.
