Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Who have they picked up?
Lofty and Nairne seem to be doing pretty well on the recruiting. Grundy is a good get for the devils! Powell back to Nairne is massive. Brother in law played with Greenbank down the South East and said he was a gun!

Be handy if they could merge their ovals to make a decent sized one and parking. All the best to them though, going to be a tough ask for the first few seasons with the outs they both have. But good on them for having a crack at salvaging themselves and staying in division 1.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
That would be nice! Believe most home games will be at ironbank other then a rival game or two for Bridgey. Going to be a battle this season no doubt but hopefully in the long term it all works out. Well done to everyone on both sides for there efforts.Toto wrote:Be handy if they could merge their ovals to make a decent sized one and parking. Most games will be at Ironbank. Training will be at Ironbank. Will be a predominantly Ironbank side by the looks.jumbo20 wrote:wow so no games at Ironbank? Did many Bridgewater A players committ?

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Any insights on how clubs are travelling through pre season?
I'm sure that most would think that all things are largely on track or better than last year, that's just the nature of pre season but who do we think will be the big improvers?
Anyone willing to stick their neck out and put their ladders together in mid Feb?

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Hills Hound, I will have a crack at a ladder!
Hahndorf
Lobethal
Uraidla
Nairne
Blackwood
Mt Barker
Mt Lofty
Onkas
Bridgewater/Ironbank
Echunga
Still reckon Hahndorf and Lobethal are at the pointy end then a mix of about 4-6 teams quite equal and then the rest. But what would I know, no form to go on and now that we cant see who is in/out on the transfer front its really a big guess

Willing to stick your neck out though Wazza, love it.
I think you're right, Hahndorf definitely still at the pointy end.
Lobey will be interesting to see how they shape up with a couple of guys leaving and a few of their better players in the twilight of their careers. Does winning a flag dull the appetite as well? I expect they will finish in the mix but not be a genuine contender.
Uri with a new coach is an interesting one. Haven't gained much from all reports but Cooper Nykamp will help. Haven't lost much either though.
Nairne should show progress, recruited well.
Think Barker is a big big threat. Expect them to be top 3.
Onkas to improve but maybe starting too far back.
Blackwood are hard to read but expect mid table.
Echunga? No idea.
Lofty to be in the finals convo. Young group that should improve again. Could be a sneaky prelim chance.
Bridgewater/Ironbank.. not expecting too much too soon
Mount Barker
Uraidla
Hahndorf
Lobey
Lofty
Nairne
Blackwood
Onkas
Echunga

Might not have realised he was just meant to be a figurehead when he accepted the role.Half Back Flanker wrote:TJ gone already?MoP wrote:Lobethal looking for a new coach.

Imagine trying to coach two big personalities who were previous coaches at Lobey? Would be like herding cats, uncontrollable.
