Its turning into Selection Lotto..... the players may have got their way with the coaching set up, perhaps the trade off is no one is safe....

Could be the same trivia question as Brad Hodge, dropped two tests after a 200....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

3rd Test has been moved from Dharamsala due to concerns about the surface. The 3rd Test will now be played in Indore.

That's a shame because Dharamsala is such a beautiful ground surrounded by the snow capped Himalayas. Apparently they had attempted to resurface part of the outfield, but it hasn't taken. Hardly surprising considering the maximum temperature every day last week was less than 10 degrees.

Just a coincidence it was moved to a venue that India have never lost at and where it turns sideways from ball 1

Good move by the Indians.
I like it.
Aussies have to get better playing spin.
And we can play 3 spinners if required.

I’m sure our media will find something to whinge about the pitch or surface at Indore.

Most Indore cricket pitches I have played on have been pretty flat.

Those nets should help Warner and Renshaw reach double figures at least.

I've not quite understood the love for this aussie team. They have demolished incredibly mediocre teams at home the last 3 to 4 years, the only good team they played in India they lost to who had half a side missing for some of it. They have barely played away for 4 years, they beat a very average side in Pakistan 1 zip which going by the past 12 months turns out wasn't that hard and then they drew 1 all with a pretty average sri lankan side. To me they have turned into the India of the 2000s where they just dominate the middle rung teams at home but aren't as good as advertised.

I really don't like the Aussie side. But I do agree with your summarisation of the Aussies' feats recently. They're only average.

You can only beat the teams you play. I don't think too many pundits on this forum were getting carried away with the Aussies after some easy kills. Most knew the big challenges lay ahead against spin in India and swing in England. The first test was a disaster, but it was only two years ago when India got rolled for 36. Has Australia got the character to bounce back like India did? Can't wait for Friday to see how they go.

How do people think we will line up......Head has to come in the side and given Renshaw was poor and injured he will go out...

Green and Starc provide the selectors with some headaches. If Starc comes in it will be for Boland who i thought was better than his figures suggested. Starc adds some much needed depth to the batting line up however.

Green is real tricky...can he bowl (?) I would have him in either way, if he can bowl that provides the selectors with a ton of options. Play him as the second fast bowler and add an extra batsmen, play him as the second fast bowler and play a third genuine spinner, play him as the third fast bowler and leave the structure of the side the same as the first test.

Given Cummins came out during the week and said that it was just one test and he had faith the team picked was the best 11 they had available i cant see Warner being dropped (especially given Renshaw should go first).

Unless injury keeps Renshaw out I can’t see the selectors dropping him as that would be an admission of guilt that they stuffed up.

I'm sure Head will come in for Renshaw and if Starc and Green are fit they play for Boland and Handscomb. I heard Green was doing fielding drills today, but limited to a soft ball, so big question mark on him. I think Davey survives again.

Starc also adds footmarks for the spinners to hit.
That could work against our right hand batters.

Warner was player of the summer so he won’t be dropped after one Test
July 11th 2012....
