She's decided she wants Chinese for her birthday. She doesn't really eat that much at night anymore so we're looking for a nice Chinese place to do lunch.

SO you think we can find any decent chinese restaurants open for Sunday lunch?

Noooooooooooooo

I think you are correct!

House of the Red Dragon is the best Chinese restaurant in metro Adelaide IMO, bit of a hike but the food and price is exceptional.

BBQ City Gouger Street. My favourite restaurant. Great value and food is magnificent and it is always full of chinese people so you know it must be good.
So you've seen everything have you?

Lone Star Mitcham, recently opened.

Being Fathers Day the place was packed and we were advised on booking and entry that a maximum of 90 minutes, no issues with that.

Four of us so started with two Starter Boards; buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, garlic bread and onion rings. Came out quickly and was good. Wings large and well sauced with a kick, onion rings crispy and delicious. I didn’t try the other two but no complaints.

Mains were two meaty pork ribs, classic burger and Burnt Meat Ends with corn chips.

Again they were quick.

Nabbed a burnt meat end, delicious, my oldest loved it.
Wife said the burger was a little dry but tasty.
Son and I had the meaty pork ribs. He ate the lot, me, I gave a third of my ribs to my oldest, left most of the chips and coleslaw. Just too much food. Meat fell off the bones and was amazing

Beer was cold, waitress was fabulous especially considering how busy it was.

When paying the waiter ask how everything was, I said “it was great, just ate too much “

He apologized

“Mate nothing to apologise for “

Food 9/10
Service 9.5/10
Value, $210 for the four of us with drinks 9/10

I’d go back in a heartbeat

Last week we went to Nan Yuan Chinese. Best Chinese restaurant in Adelaide by so far it’s crazy. Need to book in advance but the food is incredible
Service can be a bit ordinary at times as they seem to fuss over the Asian guests far more but worth it for the food

Is this the same Lone Star that had waitresses line dance and you'd throw shells of the complimentary peanuts on the ground?
Didn't they go bust?

Lone Star at the Port Mall is no longer.

Quickly replaced by a Schnithouse.

The original Lone Stars mainly took over old Sizzler buildings.
We used to go the one at Tonsley on Sturt Rd, remember one at Morphett Vale on South Rd too.
