Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
the SANFL almost need to step in regarding the Mt Barker Council holding local community football to ransom with the Summit.
HFL Grand Finals need to be held at the ground, and a second Mt Barker side should be strategically planned cor the facility in the next 5-10 years with the exploding population.
Sturt should also play 1-2 SANFL games at the venue each season, I’d travel to a Doggies away game and some Hills produce!

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
A club from Littlehampton would be great playing out of Anembo Park too. Unfortunately about 15 years ago Hahndorf FC made their juniors the Hahndorf/Littlehampton Junior FC so that idea is ruined.Information HWY wrote:the SANFL almost need to step in regarding the Mt Barker Council holding local community football to ransom with the Summit.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
There HAS to be another Mount Barker side in the works. Mount Barker would have to be by far the largest football club per capita in SA wouldn’t they? 1 team for what? Near 50 thousand people now? Murray Bridge has had 2 for ever and used to have 3 with the Redlegs. Gawler has 3, Mount Gambier 3 I believe at least? Loxton even has 2.

Bluedemon I think you will find he’s talking about Echunga dropping back to Country Division. So not really an opening and removes the BYE for both divisions which is surely a good thing.

Near 30K I believe.Toto wrote:There HAS to be another Mount Barker side in the works. Mount Barker would have to be by far the largest football club per capita in SA wouldn’t they? 1 team for what? The problem with Mt Barker is it has always been a transient kinda community, and more so in the last 20 years. People might live in the town but they have very little to do with the town itself. It should have 2 footy clubs, but where would the 2nd one play ??
They wont play at the Summit in its current config and I cant see the council building anything else unless they admit theyve stuffed this one up..... which they wont.

Soccer is arguably bigger in the area, with the Mt Barker United and FC Summit Clubs up there (Nairne Knights and Hahndorf clubs not far away too)Shortman wrote:Near 30K I believe.Toto wrote:There HAS to be another Mount Barker side in the works. Their facilities are well designed for what they need.

Mt Barker council to disband the Summit Sport & Recreation Board & manage the facility in house.
