Re: Southern Football League
Add Piva, Reich and M. Riddle who played 3 qtrs last year + a handy group of coaches coming and the foundations have been laid that's for sure.

Re: Southern Football League
They definitely won't finish last again, that's for sure. Mitch is a good addition if he can stay fit.Show Time wrote:Add Piva, Reich and M. Riddle who played 3 qtrs last year + a handy group of coaches coming and the foundations have been laid that's for sure.
Matt Pethick was a very good junior coach, glad he's got the gig, and Gav Riddle has been around for a very long time.

Re: Southern Football League
Can't see the Cockledivers getting any worse considering they've picked up a few guns and from all reports have retained their best 22 from season 2024. Looking at the results, but not the teamsheet on the day, Porties were only 20-30 points off Reynella on both occasions...however, Flaggy destroyed them in Rd 11 and the first final by 90+.Happytowatchlocal wrote:Cove to make finals?
Wine Flies
Falcons
Vikings
Cockledivers
Saints? Cobras? Iron Bank?
Shoes Emus Sharks all look far of it at this stage.
Cockledivers a chance of dropping out?
Definitely going to be a competitive season and the standard should be relatively high between the top 6-7 teams.

Re: Southern Football League
Cockledivers from the bits i saw might be good in the first 18 rounds but then can be stopped in the finals. A few guns and then a drop off.
Anyone heard of a big rumored out at the Wineflies?

Re: Southern Football League
I am hearing a few more on the move out of Old Noarlunga, anyone heard any news.... not 100% but from a good source Cove have signed another 6.4ft fella from the hills somewhere, apparently very athletic.

Re: Southern Football League
I think that's been the story for most of the off-season. They've added a couple but there's quite a few outs, confirmed and unconfirmed.Show Time wrote:I am hearing a few more on the move out of Old Noarlunga, anyone heard any news.... not 100% but from a good source Cove have signed another 6.4ft fella from the hills somewhere, apparently very athletic.

Re: Southern Football League
Cove have announced Roger Morris on their socials, I'm presuming this is the fella. Another very good in from the looks of it and I think it's fair to say the Cobras have won the off-season. Lot's of new talent. Haven't seen any signings for Reynella - will Agnew and Nicholls play South? Whitbread and Boreholm reported to be outs...the Wineflies may drop off a little. Happy Valley keeping their recruits off social media but have got the paperwork done for Cooper Rogers, Darrell Tucker and Nick Kraemer. Cooper Greening also back to HV from Cove.Show Time wrote:I am hearing a few more on the move out of Old Noarlunga, anyone heard any news.... not 100% but from a good source Cove have signed another 6.4ft fella from the hills somewhere, apparently very athletic.

Yep, agreed. Quite a Brighton flavour on the coaching panel.woodublieve12 wrote:New coach. Good blokeHappytowatchlocal wrote:Something must have changed, quality ins.

True. One thing about finishing last is there's only one direction to travel.Show Time wrote:They have recruited well now they need to win games as the Cobras have been ordinary the last 5 years...
