In a world of sport science, stats, so-called elaborate match plans, etc, etc, those 3 simple things that won it for the Bombers never change in heavily influencing a result.
Admittedly I didn't pay much attention to the game as I was out, did they win or did Port lose?
It's frustrating being a Port supporter but geez it must be hard being a Bomber supporter, the difference between their best and worse is on par with ours.
Honestly, I think it’s a tad disingenuous to say that Port lost it. The Bombers butchered the goals for most of the match and Port started to play it safe in the 3rd quarter, whilst the Bombers decided to take risks and run, run, run.
Port had plenty of time to snatch it back when the Bombers hit the front in the last, but they were spent and couldn’t stop Essendon’s run.
The Bombers have a long, long way to go, but results like that, especially after last week’s drubbing, can only help.
Not one for the highlights reel, although there were a couple of very good goals in the last quarter, JHF was one (don’t know where his head is atm).
Shit to watch for 3, last was much, much better.
