Re: PAFC 2025
A bit of perspective though, $180k is still very good for an ex footballer who has earnt on average $500k for a number of years, most likely financially secure. Especially if they have head coach aspirations where there is huge upside.MW wrote:It's the case for most clubs. Like we've mentioned before, where is the incentive for highly rated former players to be assistants when they are only paid around 180k for such long hours.

Problem with being from outside the club is that they haven’t been brainwashed about The Creed

This might be interesting, which team has the best assistant coaches based on playing ability?

Brisbane IMO. They're a bit wrong though, there's some people employed at two clubs.Armchair expert wrote:This might be interesting, which team has the best assistant coaches based on playing ability?

Re: PAFC 2025
Ok, because I'm still bloody waiting for an contractor update at work, I had a few minutes to kill, so I've looked up every club's website for their coaching list.
I've removed all fluffy "head of" or "strategy" roles, and just looked at assistant & development coaches, so no VFL or SANFL coaches either unless they're listed by the team as an AFL assistant or development coach.
