Fair enough , watching the link - yeah 4 weeks warranted for Callow- he did raise his arm
Now can we discuss the Callinan /Phillips incident in the 2010 Grand Final
That was a high bump, that may have unfortunately broken Phillips (a gun) jaw. Didn't get a free for it, no remonstrations, and no report. Commentators (Soders and Phillips) praised the bump at three quarter time. Was a big out for Norwood late in the third quarter.
In finals games throw in MacIntosh's off the ball punch to the face of a young Stewie Dew. Or Craig Balme's off the ball king hit on Chopper Handley, splitting his palate, requiring reconstructive surgery.

Anyway, what a bizarre process from the SANFL. The MRP doesn’t deal with it directly and sends it to the Tribunal for sympathetic sanctions. Tribunal lands on base sanction. SANFL appeals in part due to public reaction. On appeal gets a game more. Should have done better using the MRP.

Yes, a time long ago when the artist formerly known as the Magpies used to win things … not many people are old enough to remember though, even Dave from Alberton would have only been 6 or 7.

Was Craig Kelly that whacked Chopper I think mate and very much like Callows hit on the weekend - Selfish and put themselves above the good of the team. My football philosophies have always revolved around hard physicality, but fair and/or smart, and Callow was neither of those unfortunately. Hope your lads ok.

Pop quiz:
1. Who won the 1982 Escort Cup?
2. Who lined up at centre in that winning (night) premiership team?
