Re: Southern Football League
Valley's flag to lose at this point in time, another demolition of Flaggies, appears they learnt nothing from last time they played each other.
Could draw lots to see who will finish runner's up this season, not sure the Falcons have enough depth to cover their outs to make the GF, Porties had an unconvincing win against Cove, and the WInies have shown they're still behind the top 3.
Inglis from the Shoes has made the goalkicking race interesting, though Reynella have the much easier draw to finish.

Big game at Bice this weekend saints vs cobras. Will make the saints a strong case for finals if they pull off the win

Re: Southern Football League
Huge game, if Cove have any chance of making finals they need to win this, have Happy Valley, Flagstaff and Reynella next, finishing with the Emus in the last round.UpThere wrote:Big game at Bice this weekend saints vs cobras. Will make the saints a strong case for finals if they pull off the win
Saints have Flaggies, Emus, Porties & Sharks, so going by current ladder positions they'll split those 4.
Shoes have Vikings, Wineflies, Sharks, Falcons & Thunderers, so I can only see 2 more wins there.
Cove need to pinch a win somewhere and hope results go their way, I think

Had a look at the Flaggy team from Saturday on the app and didn't think it looked too bad, certainly still got plenty of talent.wenchbarwer wrote:Valley's flag to lose at this point in time, another demolition of Flaggies, appears they learnt nothing from last time they played each other.

Valleys do seem to have jumped over Porties

Re: Southern Football League
Still a very competitive side, lost two to injury during the game though. Certainly missed Milson, Shearer & Patterson against Valleys. Mountford has missed most of the year, too, along with Luke Beenham, and these guys are all SFL & Southern Zone reps, so plenty of quality there. One of the injuries from the weekend is also a SFL & Southern rep player.Dutchy wrote:Had a look at the Flaggy team from Saturday on the app and didn't think it looked too bad, certainly still got plenty of talent.wenchbarwer wrote:Valley's flag to lose at this point in time, another demolition of Flaggies, appears they learnt nothing from last time they played each other.

They wont have Milsom and Beenham for the rest of the year, but the rest should be back in time, fingers crossed.
Valleys have an absolute fleet of runners, not a tall team but stacked with medium sized types that run all day. It's their flag to lose at this point in time.

Re: Southern Football League
Emus appear to me in free fall.
Going to take a monumental effort to turn things around. I doubt they will be competing for finals within the next 5 years.
Seems that the tail wags the dog at that joint and until that stops they are in real strife.

Re: Southern Football League
Got a good result on the weekend, though, I wouldn't have picked that margin to be less than 100 points, Reynella did manage 20 goals as well.oldman wrote:Emus appear to me in free fall.

Re: Southern Football League
Falcon result raised an eyebrow until I saw the score breakdown. One of those days when the whole team couldnt kick straight.
Emus put up a good fight.

Re: Southern Football League
Two hours of my life I'll never get back. Would have easily had anther 10 shots not score at all. Ironbank really were only competitive for one quarter, fair bit of missed percentage thereHappytowatchlocal wrote:Falcon result raised an eyebrow until I saw the score breakdown. What did raise an eyebrow was the Saints/Cobras game. Cove got kicked off the park, scoring just the one goal in a do or die game for finals. No chance now, would have to win at least two from three against Valleys/Flaggies/Reynella and still need results to go their way
