Lobey held on to defeat Hahndorf by 1 point in the elimination final. I think I'm correct in saying this is the first time the Magpies haven't played off in the grand final since 2014?!

Uraidla 5 goal winners over Lofty in the qualifying final.

2014 Hahndorf wooden spooners, 2015 won the Grand Final and played in every one since, until this year. Pretty remarkable performance, but their era has come to an end as I mentioned previously. Watched some of the live stream game and they were pretty ordinary, score was flattering with a few late goals. Nairne in the prime seat to take their 2nd in 3 years. But you can never write off Uraidla either. suspect a Nairne v Lofty or Uri grand final, Lobey making up the numbers...

Change happening at Hahndorf. Coach has not been reappointed. Wanted to go again but told it was time for a change up. Apparently isnt overly happy about it. Credit to him and the club for the amazing record over the last 10 years. It will go down as one of, if not the greatest periods in SA Country Football history.@

Yes and no, 10 years is a bloody long time, especially in local footy, a new voice could be what they need.

However, from afar it looks like they recruit really well, does this mean the contacts go with the coach?

Credit to him for wanting to go on and push again for a premiership.
Seems an odd decision if he was keen to be honest.

I heard a whisper that a player who is retiring this year from the crows might be heading to there as the new playing coach.

What’s the HFL concussion rules. 11 for Nairne was clearly concussed just before half time but returned to the field in the 3rd quarter.

Nairne must make their own rules and choose to put trying to win a game ahead of player welfare. The question was flagged to the umpires but the response was it is up to the clubs direction.

Shocking look.

The Nairne trainer is head of the HFL trainers association and has been for a while, just FYI.

Why wasn’t the offending player carded for the incident then?

Because it wasn’t an incident that was intentional or warranted being carded??? It was a marking contest and he smashed his head on the firm part of the oval.

Reckon NB need to question their trainers and their decision making after that one.

A dump tackle in a marking contest? By their new laws, that’s the definition of a cardable offence. Yes I said dump tackle in a marking contest, that’s exactly what happened and why a free kick was awarded. Few butt hurt Lobey people after selling the farm (or building sheds) for Charlie and not winning it.

Have to agree, looking at the footage you can even see players urgently calling for trainers to come out to the lad as he was knocked out/not in a good way! No matter what the situation of the game, players health is number 1 and the old school mentality of its a Grand Final is not good enough. Not justifying the action of the dump tackle in the marking contest (that's a separate issue) but the main issue here is were is the care for the young lads health, its an extremely poor look for the Nairne Trainers and Coaches.

Hahahaha here we go again….. haven’t heard all these ridiculous quotes before.

Lucky for Loby after he came back on he looked like he was playing in a different world.

Not butt hurt at all just saying it is a horrible look for the club and Officals .
