Standard SANFL WAFL and VFL contracts have clauses that if the AFL comes calling the person can be released as part of that contract.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
So you're telling me that if a current SANFL coach has a contract to coach that SANFL team he can just walk away & coach in the AFL, or take up a role in the AFL?
Goodness!

Norwood will more than likely lose several of their Tassie boys.
Heard from a parent of one of them that Tassie are offering a sign on bonus of $25k to attract players to their VFL side

The Tassie blokes love it here but the money and perhaps a chance to get a spot on their AFL list might be enough to think about leaving

Re: INS & OUTS 2026
Yep, he has committed to Norwood but obviously would look at AFL offers I’d imagine.Booney wrote:Fremantle looking at Harry Boyd
I did hear this arvo from a player that Lowe turned down the Tassie offer and he did say the other Tassie players will also stay. Have picked up a couple of players that should go ok in the SANFL and no real outs yet with a couple of fringe lads heading to West and Centrals.
