Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Adam Harlett will get the Hahndorf job if he’s not at Glenelg.
Not sure on Mount Barker - I heard a silly rumour it could be Simon Nunan.
They need to get out of that boys club trap they’ve been in for so long. Such an underperforming club considering they would be the club (capita per club) in country SA and pretty comfortably I’d imagine.
I hope for their sake it isn’t Nunes

I heard as many as 8 have left Mt Barker. Something surely has gone massively wrong there. Anyone know where they've all gone?

And its not just 8 of the fringe guys either - top end talent leaving. Might be a slide down the ladder for Mt Barker.

Sanfl has a 2026 player movements and it has him as retired/Hahndorf in it.

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
This forum has been quiet…. Probably indicative of the off season for Div 1, not heaps of ins it seems?
What are your tips for the season?
Nairne - seem to have retained everyone. Well drilled and the best midfield in the comp. One kick from currently being on the hunt for a 4 peat (very quietly)…
Mount Lofty - continuing to build. Stumbled at the wrong time last year and I think will bounce right back to be at the pointy end
Hahndorf - Lyons the biggest in for the comp and will dominate that small oval. If Landers is there for most of the year as well they’ll be one of the teams to beat again
Uraidla - always quiet achievers. Consistent and I think will be top 5 again
Lobethal - surprised a few last year including me who had them finishing bottom. Big Charlie a dominant force and tried to drag them to a flag on his own. Still think their depth is a big issue in comparison to the teams above them but hopefully the ride their momentum from the end of last season
Onkas - have announced the most “ins” in the comp. Continuing to build but again depth is an issue I think
Blackwood - never down for too long and showed glimpses in the back half of last year.
Mount Barker - on paper look in real trouble. Massive outs. Namely Callins who’s done a mountain of work over the last 5-6 years.
Mail Medal - Damon Hill
Leading goal kicker - Riley Clamp (if he’s back early enough)

Re: HFL Division 1 (Central)
Will be interested to see how Scott Biddle goes at Mt Lofty.
Word a bit over 12 months ago was that he'd already signed there but obviously didn't play in 2025, perhaps due to an injury setback?
Was part of a star studded St Peters Old Collegians A1 reserves premiership side in 2022, and that side was immediately stripped of just about everyone, hence why they dropped off a bit for the next 2 seasons.
Guess that's the nature of 'the game' now, if you're playing decent footy at that level, you'll get noticed
