No doubt this will turn into a racism complaintlocky801 wrote:As per the latest media reports, Mohammad Rizwan has officially filed a complaint against Melbourne Renegades team management after the controversial incident in the match against Sydney Thunder
Rizwan has reportedly expressed strong disappointment over what happened during the game, stating that forcing a former Pakistan captain to retire out is not just disrespectful to him, but an insult to the entire nation of Pakistan
According to reports, Mohammad Rizwan may also seek an early exit from the Big Bash League following this incident, as the situation has escalated beyond the field
As of now, the BBL managing committee is yet to respond to the complaint, and fans across the cricketing world are waiting for an official statement and clarity on the matter
This issue has sparked massive debate, and all eyes are now on how the authorities handle this sensitive situation

So he should be pissed off, teams should be fined for doing this, it's a shocking look for cricket, it's not as though he was turtling along, he was striking at over 100.locky801 wrote:As per the latest media reports, Mohammad Rizwan has officially filed a complaint against Melbourne Renegades team management after the controversial incident in the match against Sydney Thunder

Yeah, these guys get a bit animated and full on. You can't be that great if you're playing BBL, aren't we one of the least highest paying T20 comps getting around?RB wrote:I agree he should be pissed off, but disrespectful to the nation of Pakistan? He has to be joking.

Why not just send the message out to try hit a boundary every ball, he will either score or get out, which the team is obviously comfortable with either result if they are pulling this stunt

If serious that comes across as quite a self centred view of himself saying that IMO, mustn't be that upset if he's playing tonight though.RB wrote:I agree he should be pissed off, but disrespectful to the nation of Pakistan? He has to be joking.
Why? It's a tactic that's going happen more and more in T20 cricket and people watching just have to get used to it.Lightning McQueen wrote: So he should be pissed off, teams should be fined for doing this, it's a shocking look for cricket, it's not as though he was turtling along, he was striking at over 100.

It's getting further and further away from cricket and more and more into 'entertainment' (using the term loosely).Armchair expert wrote:https://www.cricket.com.au/news/4434311/big-bash-to-introduce-designated-batter-fielder-new-rule-for-bbl16-next-season-details-explained?

Re: BBL 15
I just find it wrong. If the batter is truggling then he should try and belt his way out of it, if he gets out then so be it.The Dark Knight wrote:Why? I get your line of thinking and appreciate your view and the evolving of the game, it's just a tactic that don't sit right with me.

Re: BBL 15
As a dinosaur I like theses new rules in the BBL
It’s good for the audience of the hit and giggle cricket
No way would I accept it in Test cricket though

That's all sport these days isn't it. 50/50 split between pure sport and being entertainment. The American sports probably swing even further to being entertainment with sport on the side.gadj1976 wrote:It's getting further and further away from cricket and more and more into 'entertainment' (using the term loosely).Armchair expert wrote:https://www.cricket.com.au/news/4434311/big-bash-to-introduce-designated-batter-fielder-new-rule-for-bbl16-next-season-details-explained?

Soccer maybe one of the few sports that look very similar to what it looked like 30-40 years ago and remains its boring same self

Its not a massive change really, Mack Harvey (a good fielder) ends up in the field when he isn't in the XI all the time.
