What a debacle all round
Won it only on a blunder of the Tribunal by letting Johnson hear evidence whilst driving from what i just read
Either way he has $1500.00 he can donate to his better half again

A blunder is a nice way to put it. Like come on the guy was hearing evidence whilst he was driving on his way to a open inspection.locky801 wrote:Jim05 wrote:Butters won his appeal.

The AFL argued before the Appeal hearing that Johnson's antics did not have a material impact on the case, so I don't agree that the outcome yesterday can be chalked up to the AFL as you suggest, although I do agree that it was the most convenient outcome for the AFL.

Perfect outcome for the team at HQ.

Bloody hell, the AFL is signing off on some strange stuff at the moment.

Great player and would be an asset to any team, don't get me wrong, however at what cost?
I'd prefer to spread the $'s across the list to retain other stars, who won't be at Zak's level, however this depth is the key to contend.
Look at Geelong, Sydney, Brisbane and how they retain their list with no doubt many players taking unders, but they get success. If Zak was to go to any of these he would need to take a haircut on what he could earn elsewhere.
