Re: Round 5 North v WWT
I think I'm correct in saying the Eags haven't won at north since 2020, the year we beat north in the GF. The predicted wet weather could be a factor with the side showing the most desperation having the advantage. North's onballers and speed of foot have troubled us in the past. We have a better balanced midfield this year so hoping for a win.

Re: Round 5 North v WWT
The Eags are rolling along super impressively, four-from-four and the highest-scoring team in the league, averaging a tick under 100 points per game with five players in the top-10 leading goalkickers.
They are playing exciting footy emanating from a classy, experienced midfield that supplies plenty of opportunities for an impressive mix of talls and smalls up forward.
North will be wanting to be in it from the start after conceding eight of the first nine goals in a 13-point loss to Adelaide. Oli Francou (groin) was missed but Angus Schumacher stepped up even more with 33 possessions and 11 clearances.

Re: Round 5 North v WWT
If we were in the 2nd half of the season, then North by 69, but since we haven't got there yet, Eagles by 47
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

North 1.8 at Lemon time
That score brings back very very horrid memories of a G/F

Appears the only interest is whether they can beat that ‘89 score.locky801 wrote:North 1.8 at Lemon time![]()

Re: Round 5 North v WWT
A full four quarter effort from the Eags. Most pleasing was their ability to keep pressure on the ball carrier and force turn overs. North helped in this regard by over-using the football, especially with handball. Clohesy has been a great pick up for us and his intensity and in and under work reminds me of dual premiership player James Tsitas. Jack Hayes used his experience to read the ball well and take some strong marks. North were surprisingly inept and a long season looks likely. Has the speed of the game overtaken once formidable James Battersby?

Re: Round 5 North v WWT
4 guys playing league (3 from WWT, 1 for NA) from the BSR Football Club.
Not a bad effort for a club whose catchment population wouldn't be much more than 1000 people in total.

All good, not many would know the towns very wellwhybother wrote:Extreme ignorance, but wot's a BSR football club?
Brinkworth, Spalding Redhill Football Club. Also makes up people from the very small townss of Gulnare, Koolunga, Narridy.
Brinkworth, Spalding, Redhill would approximately have populations of 250 people each town.
The remaining smaller towns would make a total of 250 at most.
