G'day Folks! 8) My first post in safooty. :D

Got a couple of extras here for ya!

Tony Martyn - one season as a utility with Port in 80 or 81. Wore #24 that one year.
Carl Fragomeni - Port - #19; back pocket premiership player in 77.
Craig Clohessy - Port - #16 ; fringe league/reserves utility in the early-mid 80's.
Paul Bulluss - West Torrens - can't remember his number (??)
Ray Hayes - West Adelaide - #7 ; mean, hard-nosed, sometimes volatile full-back
Ed Richardson - West Adelaide ; #25, CHB, State defender.
Steven Nicholls - Woodville - #16 by memory, 100+ goal full-forward, left footer.
Nick Stevens - West Adelaide - played several high quality games for Westies as a 17yo before making his AFL debut.

And if Des Drogemuller played for Centrals, I know for a fact he also played with Port!

Gimme some more time and I'm sure I can come up with some more.. 8)

Cheers,
Wino

Hi Wino, and welcome to SAFooty!

All except Nick Stevens are actually on the list - the main list is in "All the Players listed so far on FootySA and SAFooty". The threads' opening post was too small the the number of players posted - each post can hold around 2650 lines, hence 2650 players. So, the other thread has accommodated for 3 posts totalling nearly 8000 players! Even that is getting too small - I had to use the post below my two - Magpiespowers' - to fit more on.

But don't let that discourage you from posting information, becuase when I first started the "Any player you can think of" thread on FootySA, I also asked for information about players as well - number, years played, features about the player, and any other fact about them.

That "project" has now expanded into what you see here - eventually I'll put in facts next to the players on each clubs list - someting like Ian has done for the North list.

Ah cheers spell_check! I realised I posted too soon, too late!

Fair effort to get that many players! That's awesome! =D> I have a good memory for names and numbers, so I can certainly assist in recalling guernsey numbers and positions played etc. I'll have to check out the full list!

I may or may not have been annebriated with the 'site administrator' on a number of occasions in the past, hence how I was pointed towards safooty. But the stories of drunken karaoke sessions at the Charles Sturt Tavern with him will have to wait for another time.. :partyman: :-#

Top site Wedge! Remembering the yesteryear of the SANFL, acknowledging it and celebrating it's past, present and future is an honourable thing and what you do for North, the SANFL and footy in general is a credit to you mate! =D> Well done.

Cheers,
Wino

We've got them, but it is nice to have some extra information about players, such as where they've come from, so thanks.
