If you're using the same question as above, I think it might have been David Hookes.

Not David Hookes, but warm, DW my friend.

That last question took some getting - did not realise how many captains SA produced in those days!

Repeating the new question:

Which batsmen made a double century in an A Grade District Cricket Grand Final yet still somehow saw his team lose the match?

Not David Hookes, GWW, but has a connection.
DW, he played for at least two clubs.

Well done, GWW and a good followup agreement, DW.
Paul made 215 out of our 5/398 (compulsory declaration).
Sadly, Salisbury passed our target on Easter Sunday (for the loss of 7 or 8 wickets).

The compulsory declaration system probably cost us the premiership, but those were (and still are) the rules so fair is fair. Took a long time to get over that one though - destroyed Easter for me!

Just hoping that we don't make 400 this Saturday only to see Woodville pass us on the Sunday.

Btw, I should add that this is one of the 10 Grand Finals we lost between flags (1961/62 - 2006/07). Thankfully we broke that run last year.

Over to you, GWW.
