Nothing, he is just an overrated glory hunter.
i saw that quote and i thought i was quite funny, had a good chuckle

I stick by my original words, taking jumpers just because you win a premiership is stealing, if thats part of your life, then good luck to you.
I wish you all the best of luck, and lock everything up!

Your clearly not a player Ruppie , you clearly have not played in a winning Grandfinal and you certainly dont know about the footy jumper issue . 80 - 90% of players keep their GF jumpers and those who dont wish they did later on . The most important items I have from my football life are 2 jumpers from GFs nd I will be proud of them and the memories that go with them forever ! Its not stealing , its a part of the celebration , and continued celebration of winning a flag .If you think its stealing then I suppose you take the Ice back to the bar after you finish your drink ?

Bagman, you're right, I am no longer a player, played in 3 footy grand Finals, won 1 only and the club offered the players their jumpers. As I said previously, it is not a given that they are taken without them first being offered. I have also been involved in coaching a winning footy Grand Final in SAAFL so you are a long way off the mark. What does a club do if the jumpers get taken and they can't afford to buy or get a sponsor to buy their jumpers. Different story if you purchase your own jumper (as they do at Ovies, Pulteney, Adel Uni.) Wake up sailor, your ship is leaving port without you!

Once again you havent done your homework Rupe, I won a flag at Ovies in 04. We were given our jumpers, no one had to pay. The club was grateful to us for winning an undefeated flag. Wingfield let the b graders have their jumpers last year, then when they discovered some of them were leaving deecided they wanted to charge them. I wonder if the guys who didnt leave Wingfield are being charged?

If the club cant win a flag and make more from the success than the cost of the jumper for the players that got the flag for them then you and Zedman , Ruppie and the other blokes who WON flags opinion about Keepin jumpers are probably because you were passengers . If you made a difference or cherrished it you would ALWAYS keep it !
Your comments are of someone who obviosly was NOT at the wolves GF last year . The boys and ME and my WIFE and KIDS ( 3 ) were there , and had to go because of some F...
