Don't know all the players, but Wordsworth is good bat and Travis good bowler
Sandercock and Cochrane from the Farms are quality bowlers that can bat a bit, some good names in the side, bowling looks strong enough but dont know the bats apart from Wordy.
well the 21s lost to adelaide and suburban. Bowling was very weak and batting was definitely their strongest point but early wickets helped when the new ball was swinging! Justin D'Anti or something similar made 68 not out, all be it dropped 3 times, ut he definitely hits a big ball and drives through covers with brute force!

Good game actually. A&S 176 off 40 overs. ATCA all out 162. Not sure about ATCA batting being their strongest point. Only one of the first 7 bats got into double figures. D'Antini batted well for 68no. If it wasn't for a couple of great catches the ATCA boys might have got home. The caught & bowled was an absolute blinder and probably won the game for A&S

How did the Unley LOD's go yesterday Kooka?? we (concordia) got smashed for the 2nd week running, low on stocks at the moment. Luckily won first 4, so should be ok when players return...
we lost to elders. they won the toss and bowled and had the better of the conditions with a slow outfield earlier on, we only made 129 and they passed us 5 down. we had our chance but dropped the opener who made the runs and he won the game for them. he was out plum lbw but they didnt give it. if i am playing in that team when we play we should catch up.

the caught and bowled not as good as the one he took in second slip that he stole from the first slip! ATCA out fielded the ASCA boys without a doubt. ASCA took 3 great catches, but let through aroun 20 odd runs in the field.ATCA would have stopped atleast 20. and ASCA dropped 3 catches with D'Antini i think being all three of them! from memory i cant remember the ATCA boys dropping a catch, just one between keeper and first slip

Obviously no faith in the first slip. ATCA dropped two catches - one between keeper and first slip and one in the gully. Agree their ground fielding was superior, but catches win matches and the catch and second slip and the caught & bowled were as good as I have seen in a long time

Hmmm played against Duncan the other week, very very angry bloke (and that's when he is batting!!!). He would of have to be involved, Valentie and George get fired up for Flinders. Good win by the Flinders boys, Walkies rely entirely on Bowles with the ball (and did the job on a sticky wicket V Unley) and Duncan with the bat.

yeah i think the one at gully actually fell short got it on the half volley.. n iwouldn have faith in the first slip either after the throw he did lol and the one between keeper and first slip was a height woulda needed the almighty gilly to take it..i dont think they actually dropped one as such..but agree to disagree! the catches still in awe, but overall i think the key was batting partnerships ASCA more of em, ATCA really struggled to keep two batsman at the crease at any one time, always had a new batter tryin to get set which makes it hard
i am quite suprised by that, our U/17s played them round 1 and they were ordinary batting. and u would think that if they picked up any players that could bat they would bat higher then number 7. But what an effort, any ideas on partnerships or scores by anyone?

Valente and George were not involved in any incidents (I Believe). I only know of three, Clements from Flinders who was hit in the head by Bowes (Doesnt wear a helmet!) and the ball travelled to gulley and was given out while suffering the effects of concussion, and didnt like the decision. I think the two previously mentioned blokes from Walkerville are also up on charges, dont know how much I can say. Wouldnt mind playing Walkerville next week!
P.S. does anyone know where you can view the reports on the new ATCA website. I quite enjoyed reading over the reports on the old website, made for some entertaining reading!
Also Dan Bartholomaus (Flinders Uni) played the best innings you will see, a true captains knock on what was a very difficult pitch to bat on as the collapse of 5 for 40 in the first hour or so will show. With the score at 9 for 211 needing another 20 to win, Dan went from 88 to 100 in three balls off Bowes. The no 11 spooned a ball with two runs still needed, and was dropped! Good win for the FUCC's

As the coach of the side, the lads are very... footy orientated, cricket is just a time passer... but all of the lads are the naturally gifted in sport, anything is acomplishable, i do not suspect this will be the final score of 400 for the season! Galbraith 120 Cameron Williams 102 Jamie Solly 78, Galbraith and Williams 198 run partnership was very impressive. From the first game which i was absent, we now have a settled order, and all are "Happy" with their spot in the team!
