Id have to say the toughest player i saw this season (my first year in the SFL) was Michael Adey. Never dirty but every time he hit someone that beautiful crack radiated over the field. Poetry. And when Lonsdale told him, "You're a good player mate, but do that again and your gonna have a broken jaw" he just laid out the next guy to for the ball...pleasure play next to him in the guts when i ventured out of the backlines.

so its true then...thats a pretty big blow for us considering his first game for us was Rd 7 2008 and he was in the bests pretty much every week and got the MVP award (voted by coaches as best player of the year). Would have comfortably won the B&F if he played all year.

well i've only really talked to him once coz its hard for me to get down there very often. But i hear he's getting on the phone to people pretty often and actively trying to recruit people (something our old "coach" said wasnt the A grade coaches job), hes told everyone he expects people to do their own running before the Preseason proper starts on Jan 20...but he seems like he's got the right attitude to stick with us. Previously being a juniors coach would give him the right attributes, such as patience, that is needed at a club like ours. But we are turning things around. We pretty much halved our losing scores last season. 37 goal turn-around in one case. So its looking pretty bright for us.

yeah mate, hackhams progress hasnt gone un-noticed, let me assure you of that!! is a long road ahead, but with the right people at the helm (and my man kymbo evans!!!), things can only get better! from now right up until we play yu guys, i wish you all the best of luck!!

Thanks mate. We came close to knockin you blokes off in Round 1. And if your rating our team on Bejing Olympics Diving Gold Medalist Kym Evans, you're selling us a bit short mate. Well some of the crap we have to put up with from other clubs really hurts morale sometimes. Eg. Hearing "Dont worry boys, theyre just scum" at half time from a Porties player in Rd 18. But we know clubs like Aldinga and Lonsdale will never bag us because they are or have been in the same boat. And from a "discussion" I had with Wineflyonthewall today, I think his name will be changed to Wineflyontheground in Rd 17 2009.
