One can only hope that Karoonda's player payments (quite extensive by all accounts) are not being funded by the President of the Mallee League, after all I don't think that's quite ethical. What's your take on it Leighton?

This may look a naive question, but why is it not ethical? It's not MFL funds he's using (you'd expect) and he's still involved with his club (as are most of the committee members I'd expect), so what's the problem?
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

No reference made about the MFL funds, just my opinion and knowing Hux as I do, I am sure he's only helping the club out. It's the old salary cap or points chestnut again, whichever is in place .

P Wakefield is not a chance in hell of going up there, he will either not play footy for the year or go to his local club next to his house down in demon land willunga..
Smelty is getting his local lads (metro adelaide that is) to train with a club in town and I know their coach is planning on trying to get them all signed by June 30th and leave Smelty with no or minimum recruits. Evidently I hear Muffy Kartinyeri has made a decision to have a kick with Exelby at Marion - signed sealed delivered. He will add plenty to the prospects of the Rams in 09.

Wont happen, they are all already committed to the express himself.. Good try though!
We will wait and see I guess but I know the big Smelt Express is a tad nervous about it. Tight lines Goochy Woochy! Time will tell. Footballers are pretty good at changing their minds when it comes to travel. People can get pretty determined when a chance comes to give the great man a kick in the guts! Thanks for the players though Smelty!!!!!
