Jo Scuderi has a lot to be thanked for that

1st Test
DAY ONE
SRI LANKA 3/125 (43.3 overs)
MG Vandort 44
KC Snagakkara 43
It's been too long since Murali has played against Bangladesh, and a no better time to get your 66th 5 wicket haul.

Re: Minor International Cricket
That's not a good stat, but I think they are a better Test side than those stats show. Zimbabwe were going along the same sort of path as they were, until about 1999.

No-one will ever catch him for the most wickets taken in either 5 or 1 day form. Ever.

Re: Minor International Cricket
Sri Lanka have lost only one test series since 2005/06 (to Australia in 2007/08).
In that time they have beaten South Africa (home 2-0), Bangladesh (home 3-0), England (home 1-0) and India (home 2-0)
And draw with England (1-1 away), New Zealand (1-1 away) and West Indies (1-1 away).
A bit of disparity in home and away form

Re: Minor International Cricket
That's a common theme amongst the subcontinent nations, the difference in home form to away form. But, that's actually quite impressive those stats.

Murali will probably take the ODI lead in that series (currently 12 behind)

Re: Minor International Cricket
If only they could put it together for one whole Test, they might win one. Remembering they made 400+ and had Australia at 6/90 odd in the 1st Test in 2006.
