Is Ovingham in div 7 this season? I thought they were moving out of the C divisions?

Not sure mate. There was a lot of talk from Bubbla last season saying how great the club was and how they are moving forward. Maybe all the talk about the gypsys were right

if henley won div 7 last year they'd stroll through c1 - would probably be fairer to stay in div 7 if they didn't want to go to div 6. whisper is that the mooted div 8 will not happen; henley and adelaide uni will stay in div 7, while shoc, athelstone and smosh will filter down to c1/c5 or c4, c2/c5 or c4 if ovingham and north pines get their two sides.

Both Ovingham and North Pines have been quite quiet on here for a while which makes me think them getting 2 teams up may not be 100% anymore!

Hey finn ease up you will upset the locals down at Paralowie if you say Henley won div 7 last year.

ttg A gr are div 1 their C gr are c1 d grade are c5,,..modburys A grade are div1 , c grade are c1 , d grade are c5... henleys A gr are div 1 ,their their c gr SHOULD BE c1 , d gr SHOULD BE c5 (not sure on unis grading policy but if the A grade is div2 , the c grade are c2 then div7 7res. i do realise they were in c1 this year.and have won back to back they are an exception as they have sooo many teams.)...i really cannot see how it would be fairer in div 7 finn for henley to stay in div7.for henley are excactly the same as the other mentioned clubs and all in the same grading set up..that would be as fair as it gets as they are all div1 clubs...playing ag C grade teams of the same grading div 1....are you worried henley may knock your c1 uni side off going for 3 in a row.......just worked it out   dont worry too much , finn your c1 sides been together for a while, im sure youll knock em over

uni's grading goes div 2, 2 res, 7, c1/7res, c2 stands alone as roseworthy, then c4, c5
my apologies to paralowie re the 2008 d7 flag - i assumed (naively as it turned out) that henley had won and that was the major problem regarding their promotion etc to div 6.
theoretically, the reflection of the c grade with the a grade is a super idea because of the reverse home and away nature of the fixture, the ability to have triple/quadruple headers - that of course puts uni's c1 team into c2 which would probably be silly given our recent results in c1 (its 3 in a row already gtb :) ).
I'd just like to see a format stuck to by the saafl and given a chance to work - whether its the reflective format or a collection of teams below the final a grade division relying on the same promotion/relegation system that the upper grades have.
we've lost a few players from the preceding years in c1; age has finally wearied them :)

If anyone from Ovingham owns a computer, and actually knows how to use it,could you let us all know how the numbers are looking down there.A lot was said after last years premiership about how strong the club was going to be,but strangely, things have been awfully quiet of late.Might be a tough year without Klompy,Dave Brotherton and Rhino!

News I heard that they will be in Div 6 - they are listed there in the SAAFL web page under 2009 season - not sure how that one has come about
